Through regular workshops with the client, we have established several principles from the early stage of the design of CESCO Touch Center, a widely-known company for biosecurity. First, we put aside just showing the construction, but sought for a completely practical one, trying to make changes so that the process of the plan reappeared from the inside space to the outer figure. We spatially reviewed the requirements of various users, such as CESCO employees, researchers, service men, and trainees, and their working environment. We also examined the outcome to be reflected to the outside directly through a vision & lighting study for views and well-lightening. Second, we made a practical complex containing growth engines of the company beyond the simple characteristics of the building itself. In order to body out the feature of the new project carried out by CESCO for the best, we made differentiated spaces, such as a commissioned education facility, a PR office, a simulation room, and a research and development office, etc., exchange their functions. We also integrated a simulation room for prevention work and sanitary performance training. Finally, to make it a sustainable building contributing to future environment, we rationally dealt with various conditions by suggesting louvers corresponding to each direction, panel systems, color index reflecting sunlight, air-barrier system, step garden, and so on.
